Approximately 1 in 10 Americans over the age of 60+ have experienced a form of elder abuse. Yet, only 1 in 14 cases are ever reported.
Join the Young Professionals of Womankind at our happy hour event in support of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. Proceeds will support Womankind's Later in Life Program which helps educate and train participants to become senior ambassadors.
For just $11/hour, senior ambassadors help with outreach to peers in their local communities in a culturally-sensitive manner. Special guest Kayla Chan, Manager of Womankind's Later in Life Program, will discuss the importance of providing training on elder abuse prevention and empowerment.
