Womankind works tirelessly on our vision to create a future where we Rise Above Violence and our communities can innovate towards collective well-being, restoration, and social justice. For over 40 years, we have provided holistic support to thousands of survivors of gender-based violence and their families. The goal of the 2023 Gala is to raise funds through awareness and community building, so that we can sustain our important work for years to come.
The theme of Communities Rising honors our Asian heritage through MAP (Moving Ahead Positively), our model of practice, which we have developed through decades of walking alongside survivors from New York City's marginalized immigrant communities on their healing journeys.
