Womankind hopes to create a space where Brooklyn folks can come together in solidarity to discuss the impact of violence within our homes and communities. Whether as an audience member and/or a performer, we invite you to come out and share this space with us. We want to hear what you have to say. Be Heard!

ABOUT THIS EVENT
In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, join Womankind for a free screening of Minding the Gap, a documentary by Bing Liu. Minding the Gap features over a decade of footage from the lives of three young skateboarders. These young men navigate the complexities of violence, trauma, family, and masculinity. Minding the Gap is both brutal and compassionate.Stay after the screening to participate in a community conversation that asks us to reflect on the dynamics of violence and trauma in our own lives and communities.
